The pan Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere has rubbished the claim by the spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed on the zone that will produce Nigeria’s next president in 2023. Afenifere speaking through its National Publicity Secretary, Jare Ajayi said the southern region has very qualified persons that can become Nigeria’s next president.

A governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party in Abia State, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe has withdrawn from the governorship primary of the party scheduled for today (Wednesday). The Senate Minority Leader while stating his reason for withdrawal cited the use of an “imaginary delegates list and lack of transparency”.
